Hi there! I’m so glad you found my little corner of the internet. My name is Izabel Saville.

But friends call me Izzy.

Storytelling has been an integral part of humanity’s existence from the moment God spoke this world into being. Narratives that depict the human experience evoke in us a shared human desire; to make the most of the fleeting moments. The moments that permeate every aspect of our lives but pass by in the flicker of an eyelid. The moments we desperately wish we had more of — these are the precious snippets of life I aim to document.

My journey as a photographer began when I headed to India and Nepal on a long term missions trip in 2011. To document my travels my father gave me his point and shoot camera and the images I brought back with me represented a profound metamorphic period of my life. Spiritually a love for God was kindled and emotionally a deep love for the capturing of stories was awakened within me. The human life in all its beauty, in all it's complexities, in all it’s variances, captivated me. Many of the faces I have captured since I have ended up befriending. I truly am still amazed at the privilege and honor I have with every session to enter and share the intimacy of capturing someones story.

As a mother, wife, daughter, and friend I find my hands and my heart are often full. The shutter of my camera struggles to keep up with the ever quickening moments of life, I swipe moments before time does. When I’m not photographing super awesome people, I am thoroughly rocking the messy bun and casual-athletic-even-though-I’m-not-really-working-out “mom” look. My ideal date night is a good beer and some board games. My husband and I love to travel and are always dreaming of our next adventure. I thoroughly believe it’s the people you have in your life, not the stuff you have, that make life worth wild. I’m always itching for a new story.  Say hello, call me Izzy, let me tell yours.
